Hi,

My wife and I are going to be visiting the Paradisus in Cancun/Riviera Maya in January from the 19th - 26th and we have a few questions.

1. Will all of the restaurants will be opened and running?

2. What are the dress codes for the different restaurants?

3. What activities will be available in January?

4. Could I get a list of all additional pay services and there rates (scuba diving, massages, spa etc.)

Hi everyone,

I am on the property of Paradisus Playa Conchal right now.

The smooth one hour drive from Liberia Airport passes quickly as you stare with wonder out the car window at all of the surrounding beauty Costa Rica offers you.

Before you even realize, you have arrived at Paradisus Playa Cochal and what a beautiful resort this is. “An ecological treat for your senses”. Tropical foliage and spectacular floral gardens surrounded by impressive mountains and edged by the Pacific Ocean. I can’t imagine a more romantic setting for a wedding or honeymoon.

This is not just a tropical paradise; it is also a culinary one. The food here has been wonderful and I imagine next week when I sadly return home to Canada a diet will be in-store for me. Well versed staff attends to your every need with a kind smile and a proud thank you for visiting their country

Tours are in abundance, and Thursday we will tour the Arenal Volcano and do a zip line tour.

Romance mixed with adventure await you here in this true ecological paradise.

Hi my hunny and i just came back from Paradisus resort in Cancun..and it was the most fun and romantic place i have every been...wish it didn't have to end...the food and hotel was perfect...also the staff and cleaning staff were the best...i would love to go back..maybe next time for my wedding...

We have booked flights for our Honeymoon in late Aug - early Sept to Costa Rica. We are considering your hotel but are wonder if there is someone available there that can tell us what excursions or tours you offer through the hotel. We are interested in whitewater rafting, zip lining, hike, anything like that. Any help or comments from others who have stayed would be great.

Hello,

My finace and I are looking into stay at your Paradisus Playa Conchal resort next september for our honeymoon. We would be using our timeshare through RCI. We have never done an all inclusive resort with our timeshare before and are wondering what is considered all inclusive. We know we will be paying a certain amount on top of the time share to cover the all inclusive dinners, drinks, etc. We were told by our RCI rep and your hotel hotline that it also included all non motorized water sports including scuba diving, and have read reviews where people said diving was included at this resort. However on you website, it says that diving may or may not be included. So would diving be included?

Also, what type of accomodations come with the timeshare (suite/ standard room)? Is it considered RS or would we have to pay extra on top of the what we would already be spending?

My last question is about safety. There have been a lot of posts recently about room safes being broken into at the resort. This greatly surprised me considering how nice of a resort it is. Should I be worried about leaving things locked up in my room? What is the policy if our room safe is broken into?

We just got back from our fantastic trip to Playa Conchal. There were 11 of us enjoying Thanksgiving 2009. I wanted to particularly mention Andres with the HighTide company who was so entertaining and kind. He took us on the zipline and kept us laughing all the way to the end. Also, Gerardo with the activities desk was wonderful as organizer, dancer and ping pong master. Please make sure they get the recognition they deserve. This was our 5th visit to Conchal and we will be back again. Thanks Lisa

Welcome to our forum and thanks for posting your question.

Lobster is served in both Gabi Club at The Reserve and also Gabi Beach restaurant.

Unfortunatly when you where there in August it was slow season and some restaurents where on rotation closures. The Market Grill is currently open and will be open in May for your wedding. I agree the Caribbean lobster is wonderful and I can understand why you would want more.

Which restaurants at the PPR offer lobster daily? I've read that Vento used to offer nightly lobster specials but they did not have it when I was there in august, but not sure if that was due to season. Also, the menu for Market Grill had it on but unfortunately it was closed the week I was there so could not confirm. The lobsters I had at Gabi Beach and Gabi club were great, I just want more

The Paradisus truely was paradisus and I can't wait to go back in May for my Wedding

The resort is beautiful, but the staff and management are even nicer. I love the food at our Riviera Cancun resort, and agree the entertainment is above what you would expect from an all inclusive experience

Hi Zaytka,

Welcome to our forum and thanks for posting.

To answer your question, we suggest casual elegance in all of our a la cart restaurants. Pants for men with short sleeved shirts and closed shoes. Most women wear smart sundresses or dressy Capri's. The buffets are more casual but no bathing suits are allowed.
